Novelty's Major Players Take Center Stage at ANME

BURBANK, Calif. - The novelty industry’s biggest players maintained a steady flow of visitors throughout the ANME show floor with enthralling new product releases and visually stimulating booths during the final day of the ANME Founders Show.

Pipedream Products’ massive booth featured the latest Fuck Me Silly model - a realistic pair of legs complete with ass and pussy holes for penetration, made from Pipedream’s proprietary Fanta Flesh material.

“Distributors and consumers are asking us daily about the Fuck Me Silly 3,” Pipedream’s Kevin Johnson said.

The Fuck Me Silly is part of the Extreme Catalog, filled with pussy, ass and mouth replicas for male masturbation.

Another major release for Pipedream is the Mia Isabella line of toys modeled after the transsexual superstar. Isabella was on hand at the Pipedream booth for her line’s official U.S. debut.

According to Johnson, Isabella joined Pipedream in introducing her line at European adult expos and judging by the audience’s excitement, it became obvious that the company had chosen the perfect TS starlet for a line of toys.

“It was an amazing experience,” Isabella said. “It was interesting to see how many women were interested in meeting me, especially since they looked like average housewives.”

The first-ever complete TS line features 11 products, which are showcased in its own catalog, Johnson said, and begins shipping next month.

Additionally, Pipedream expands on its Fetish Fantasy line with the release of Fetish Fantasy Extreme.

“Fetish Fantasy Extreme is for people that have tried our Fetish Fantasy products and are ready to move on to harder play,” Johnson said, adding that the new line also boasts higher end materials and designs.

CalExotics’ booth also kept a busy schedule, showing off 250 brand new items, including the Triple Orgasm rabbit vibrator, featuring more than 500 vibration patterns and an expansion on the company’s range of rechargeable products with the introduction of the Sweet Obsession line of silicone rechargeable vibes.

“The show’s been tremendous,” CalExotics’ Director of Marketing Al Bloom said. “Customers from around the world have stopped by and sales have been phenomenal!”

Among CalExotics’ new releases is the Extreme Pure Gold line featuring glittery leopard print restraint items, as well as powerful vibes, and the Up line of lubes and stimulating gels, which are 100 percent vegan.

Additionally, the latest additions to the Dr. Laura Berman line debuting at ANME are poised for mainstream success thanks to Berman’s series on Oprah Winfrey new cable network OWN, Bloom said, adding that Berman’s current radio show on Sirius satellite radio and the appearance of the line’s vibrating panties in the mainstream movie “The Ugly Truth” has already positioned the Dr. Laura Berman line of toys as CalExotic’s biggest crossover.

CalExotics’ booth also showcased the Vanity by Jopen line, which Bloom said is quickly selling out and is currently taking orders for March and April to keep up with its demand. While Vanity may take longer to produce due to its high quality manufacturing, Bloom said users can expect “unrelenting power” from Vanity and all of CalExotics’ vibrators.

According to Bloom, the items showcased at ANME will be released weekly up until the next ANME Founders Show.

Topco’s booth took ANME visitors on a pleasant stroll through its 43 brand new products with a booth that mimicked a street, complete with benches and street lamps that faced storefront-looking displays of product lines.

Upon entering, Topco’s Asylum line was showcased on a POP display available to retailers. Desiree Duffie, director of marketing and public relations for Topco Sales, said the display is designed to deliver visual impact while offering ease in reordering for retailers with item images, barcode visible when the product runs out.

CyberSkin replicas of adult starlet Bree Olson’s breasts and head were molded for Topco’s Adam & Eve line, and put on display for ANME visitors to feel the products’ life-like texture.

Expanding upon the popular Joanna Angel Burning Angel Toy line, Topco introduced two new latex body paints – Bitch Ass Black and Punk Ass Pink – and two innovative pubic hair products – Hot Pink Pubes, Pubic Hair Dye and Silky Pubes Pubic Hair Conditioner & Shave Crème.

Additional items from Topco’s most popular collections, including Adam & Eve, Penthouse Pet Collection, Rascal Toys, TLC, Wildfire Joanna Angel and the Wildfire Celebrity Series, also debuted at ANME.

Digital Playground Novelties’ booth featured some new additions to the Pirates line of toys, including the pearlescent pink and pearl-colored Hidden Treasure vibes. Farley Cahen, COO of Digital Playground, pointed that that in contrast to the black version of the item, the pastel colored varieties are more appealing to women with floral print and other stylized etchings.

Cahen added that the Pirates strokers, including the new Sasha Grey model, are unique because they are fully designed miniature molds of the movie’s stars complete with detailed facial and body features.

Doc Johnson’s booth featured the top manufacturer’s latest and greatest, while much attention was drawn to the iRide, which was showcased with a high quality, sensual promo video.

The iRide is an innovative new dual-stimulating rocking vibrator that can be mounted by either a man or a woman. The boat-shaped unit features an insertable shaft and a bump that could be used for clitoral or or perineum stimulation.

LoveHoney debuted the Shag Factory collection of bullets, finger vibes and cock rings inspired by Britain’s swinging ‘60s. Featuring both reusable and disposable items, the Shag Factory line also offers sets of batteries.

“We designed this line to be fun and flirty,” LoveHoney’s Richard Longhurst said. “It’s not overly sexual or pornographic.”

The colorful line comes in stylish ‘60s-inspired packaging that features a window so shoppers see exactly what they’re getting and retailers are offered a spinning rack that holds more than $2,000 worth of products.

As an incentive for shoppers, LoveHoney also has rolled out the Frequent Shagger program, which encourages users to retain and submit Shag Factory packaging back to the company in exchange for free promotional swag.
