AEBN Announces Winners of 2011 VOD Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — AEBN, a global leader of adult video-on-demand, has kicked off 2011 with the announcement of the winners of its sixth annual VOD Awards.

AEBN determines the most popular films and the stars of the year based on viewing habits of the millions who visit the company's network of VOD theaters. Nominations are based on minute sales in the theaters in one calendar year, decided upon with a precise, in-house accounting system.

"The only vote cast in these awards is our customers' choices over the year. With every minute they've watched over 2010, fans have made their voices heard," said Jerry Anders, VP of sales and marketing for AEBN. "We've seen them become increasingly choosy through the last few years, so these winners have definitely captured the loyalty of many of our visitors."

Nominees were announced in November, and the winners will receive their awards via mail.

"We would like to thank our fans for their support of this film," said Smash owner Dan Quinn and company V.P. Stuart Wall, whose film "Bus Stop Girls" won for Best Overall Movie. "From bringing in a full-size bus to capture the right feel to compiling an all-star cast, we didn't take any short cuts with this production. The great girls and guys in the cast coupled with the great directing talents by Jim Powers was a winning formula for us."

The awards cover a wide range of genres, and special honors are also given for Lifetime Achievement and Studio of the Year. John Stagliano, founder of Evil Angel and the award-winning director of his renowned Buttman series, has been highlighted for the Lifetime Achievement honors, while Smash Pictures has been named Studio of the Year.

Lisa Ann, for the second time since the Awards' inception, won for Performer of the Year, while Jennifer White, one of the stars of Smash Pictures' "Bus Stop Girls," was named Best Newcomer.

"Thank you, I am honored, touched and inspired by the demand for more of me," Lisa Ann said. "I love my fans and the life they have provided for me. To all the companies I have worked for, and for AEBN for having the most amazing VOD Site and honoring me twice with this award, thank you as well!"
