Topco Sales to Appear in Discovery Channel Documentary

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Adult novelty manufacturer Topco Sales announced its participation in a unique documentary to be aired this month on the Discovery Channel.

The documentary is based on Indiana University's sex toy research paper about sex toy use and focuses on the adult industry throughout the U.S., the company said.

"Topco Sales receives many requests to shoot documentaries and shows at our facility," said Desiree Duffie, director of marketing and public relations for Topco Sales. "Often, we turn such requests away. Topco is very careful with its manufacturing processes."

The company made an exception for the Discovery Channel, when it allowed a crew from London-based Pioneer Productions into Topco’s Chatsworth headquarters to film the various daily activities taking place.

"I felt the opportunity to be part of a Discovery Channel documentary about sexuality in the United States would be a good platform for the public to see the inner workings of Topco Sales," Duffie said. "It also was an excellent opportunity to cast the entire adult novelty industry in a positive light."
