Mile High Media Earns 10 XBIZ Award Nominations

MONTREAL — Mile High Media announced Thursday its diverse group of leading production studios picked up 10 nominations for the 2011 XBIZ Awards set for Feb. 9 at the Hollywood Palladium.

For starters, Sweet Sinner was nominated for Feature Studio of the Year and Reality Junkies for Gonzo Studio of the Year. “Gigolos” continued to be lauded as one of the most critically acclaimed movies of 2010 with a Feature Movie of the Year nomination. The Ashlynn Brooke-directed “Red Riding Hood XXX: A Hardcore Parody” earned a Parody Release of the Year nom from the new studio, Hardcore Parody.

In addition, Mile High Media’s prolific director Nica Noelle is nominated for Director of the Year (Body of Work) due to her successful movies from Sweet Sinner and lesbian studio Sweetheart Video.

Jon Blitt, Mile High Media’s vice president, said, “Thank you to XBIZ for the multiple award nominations. We invest heavily in all of our studios, expecting the final products display an elite level of quality. While it’s nice to see the studios recognized, the nomination we are most excited for is Nica for Director of the Year. It best represents our desire for each release to be a special and unique experience. Congratulations to Nica and every one of our employees who made our great year possible.”

Noelle remarked, “It is an incredible distinction to be included in XBIZ Media’s list of Director of the Year nominees. There are some real directing legends up for the award,” Noelle said. “I’m thankful for all the critical acclaim ‘Gigolos’ is receiving, but the Body of Work nom is truly special because it honors all the movies Sweet Sinner and Sweetheart Video released in 2010. Both studios provide consumers an alternative to typical adult entertainment, showing sex as something beautiful.”
