CalExotics Nabs 6 2011 XBIZ Awards Noms

CHINO, Calif. — CalExotics picked up six nominations for the 2011 XBIZ Awards.

“We couldn’t be happier about all the nominations, including Toy Manufacturer of the Year,” said Susan Colvin, CalExotics president and founder. “Our focus is always on customer satisfaction and driving the industry toward a better understanding of consumer needs. It’s incredibly gratifying that our colleagues have noticed.”

“But, the recognition does stop with Toy Manufacturer of the Year,” CalExotics director of marketing Al Bloom said. "Company-wide, it’s a rare one-two-three punch!”

CalExotics’ high-end toy line, Vanity by Jopen, earned the company a second overall nomination in the exclusive Luxury Toy Manufacturer of the Year category, while it also reached the finals in the Crossover Novelty Company of the Year division.

In individual product categories, Vanity by Jopen collection also scored a nomination for Luxury Toy/Line of the Year and the company’s Solar Bullet was among those singled-out for Innovative Product of the Year.

“When we put our design team to work on the Vanity by Jopen line, we started with a clean slate,” Colvin said. “It didn’t take long for us to realize that we were creating something truly special. Likewise, incorporating solar technology into our popular bullet products was another way for us to expand the boundaries of adult toys — and our customers love it.”

“Creating compelling, industry-leading products is only the beginning,” said Jackie White, CalExotics’ vice president of sales. “You’ve got to get the word out to generate sales. That’s why we’re so proud that CalExotics was also recognized for its outreach efforts on behalf of our retailers.”

California Exotic Novelties received an XBIZ Awards nomination for Marketing Campaign of the Year.

“It’s been a truly incredible year,” Colvin said. “We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at this year’s XBIZ show. With so much more planned for 2011, we believe the best is yet to come!”

Winners will be announced at a red carpet gala presentation on Feb. + at the XBIZ Awards at the legendary Hollywood Palladium.
