According to Smash Vice President Stuart Wall, the company’s presence in Australia prompted the “laddie” magazine’s editors to contact him about providing new faces for their publication.
Smash agreed and provided shots of porn star Tiffany Thompson and Francesca Lee in Thompson’s first scene ever from the studio’s film "Finger Licken Girlfriends."
People ran the shots in its November issue. Editor Shane Cubis said, “Smash Pictures shoots the industry’s hottest porn stars and that’s what the punters want to see!”
Wall said the next issue of the magazine will focus on Fay Reagan from “Naughty Nanny # 3.”
“We're quite pleased with this new media relationship with People Magazine. When it comes to casting our films, my intent is to scout out talent that have a more glamour/model look versus the tattooed harder edge girls. And apparently People Magazine likes it,” said Wall.
He added, “I try to put girls in our movies that are every man’s fantasy, girl next door types, fresh and innocent, but will still perform boy/girl sex scenes.”
Wall noted that because Smash shoots soft cable versions of its movies for each of its HD releases, the studio has gathered a great following in Australia.
“All of our soft versions are shown for broadcast there and we have a great distribution relationship for DVD sales,” said Wall.
