Ashton Kutcher Blasts Vivid Over Brittney Jones Sex Tape

LOS ANGELES — Actor Ashton Kutcher blasted Vivid Entertainment for using his name to promote its Brittney Jones sex tape.

Jones claims to have been Kutcher’s mistress.

According to yesterday’s Vivid press release announcing the film,“Brittney Jones Confidential,” the 21-year old allegedly had a brief but passionate liaison with Kutcher on his Beverly Hills couch.

TMZ reported that Ashton's lawyers sent Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch a letter saying they’re particularly livid over the portion of Vivid’s press release that says "Ashton's fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced."

The press release said, “Vivid has obtained never-before-released footage that shows Brittney engaged in very explicit, uninhibited sex with a former boyfriend. Ashton's fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced, in this exclusive video."

Hirsch stated in the release, "We've acquired the tape and confirmed its authenticity. Brittney is obviously a beautiful young girl who could clearly seduce any man. We've consulted with our attorneys and feel comfortable that we will be able to distribute the tape."

But Kutcher’s lawyers said that Vivid is infringing on the actor's "marketable celebrity identity value.”

And the lawyers are threatening to “unleash a legal nightmare against Vivid” unless they stop associating his name with the Jones porn tape.

Hirsch told TMZ, “We received the letter late this afternoon and I immediately forwarded it to my attorney. We will respond accordingly.“

The movie is scheduled for a Dec.14 release.
