Coquette, Penthouse Licensing Deal Expires Next Month

CAMBRIDGE, Ontario — Coquette International and Penthouse Magazine’s five-year licensing agreement for Penthouse Lingerie will expire at the end of November.

“Although Coquette’s partnership with Penthouse has come to an end, we cannot say enough good things about working with them,” said Marcus Horea, Coquette’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We have been so privileged to have a great relationship with Penthouse and we enjoyed our partnership, but Coquette has decided to focus our attention on our core brand. The Coquette label is taking an exciting new direction for 2011 which includes our new branding and packaging.”

Although the license between both companies expires this year, Coquette said it continues to promote the Penthouse label and is currently working with PenthouseStore.com to promote the sales of the current line.

“I have great confidence that the Penthouse Lingerie label will do great things in the future and I will be happy to assist the potential new lingerie licensee with any thoughts or suggestions,” Horea said.
