XBIZ Sets Sights on Europe, Plans 2011 Expansion

LONDON — XBIZ, the adult entertainment industry’s leading business news organization, is pleased to announce that it has set its sights on the European market for the upcoming new year, putting plans in motion to develop an array of informational resources for the adult industry business community across the Atlantic.

It's the next step for XBIZ, which has already established a strong and rapidly growing brand presence in Europe through its expansive print, web and events product line.

"We've always put a special emphasis on European companies in terms of news and issues, but now our goal is to heighten that approach and take it to the next level," company President and Publisher Alec Helmy.

XBIZ publishes three leading trade magazines, operates the industry’s top business news portal, and produces two annual trade conferences and the industry’s biggest business-to-business awards show as well as operates the No. 1 social network for the industry, XBIZ.net.

"The recent XBIZ.net London Gatherings and the upcoming Paris Gathering is evidence that there is intense interest in the XBIZ brand and the unmatched product line it produces and delivers," Helmy said. "European industry pros are already familiar with XBIZ and they’ve become increasingly enthusiastic about what more we can develop for their unique communities."

The announcement of the expansion comes on the heels of Helmy speaking to industry professionals at two European conferences, the Barcelona Summit and Webmaster Access in Amsterdam. It also comes after XBIZ World's September issue that included the supplement XBIZ Euro Issue, which was heavily distributed at the two shows.

"Our European readers have a keen desire to learn more about how other companies achieve success in the European Union," said Don Parret, XBIZ's executive director of publishing. "As a news portal and conference producer, we've been able to effectively communicate those stories. Now we're ramping up our concentration on the market through this ambitious initiative."

Kristen Kaye, XBIZ's executive director of business development, says that expanding into Europe is the next natural step for the media company, particularly since some of the most active adult entertainment companies either are based or do business heavily in Europe.

"XBIZ has always taken pride in covering all of the issues that international operators face, and in the past few years we've been able to help these companies and their owners find ways to connect through our social network," Kaye said. "Our latest initiative will expand every facet of the company to Europe."
