The agreement calls for Pulse to handle Jekyll & Hyde’s DVD, broadcast and hotel/motel business, according to Pulse co-owner Mark Hamilton. Jekyll & Hyde will deliver one movie per month to Pulse.
Jekyll & Hyde co-owner Kevin Moore said that the company switched from another distributor to Pulse because “They’re headed in the same direction we want to be going in.”
Hamilton told XBiz that Jekyll & Hide “fit in great” with the company’s existing distribution lineup because the company is “already releasing a number of quality gonzo [titles] through Pulse Pictures from directors like Bryan Xin and Van Styles.”
Jekyll & Hyde’s first release under the new deal will be “Obedience School,” starring Jenna Haze and Flower Tucci. Pulse will also distribute several of Jekyll & Hyde’s existing lines, such as “Stick It in My Face.”
Other straight studios distributed by Pulse include Club DVD, Lennox Films and Pulse Pictures in-house productions. Pulse also puts out gay movies from Falcon, High Octane, Mustang, StraightCollegeMen.com and Jocks, as well as lesbian-themed movies from Erocktavision.
