'Flintstones' Parody Set for October Release

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — New Sensations on Thursday announced that director Will Ryder's “The Flintstones: A XXX Parody” will be released on Oct. 11, while the company also revealed the first glimpse of the box cover.

The cast includes Hillary Scott (Wilma), Brooke Lee Adams (Betty), Hayden Winter (Pebbles), Anthony Rosano (Barney), Seth Gamble (Bam-Bam), and Peter O’Toole plays Fred.

“It has been great working with New Sensations on ‘The Flintstones’ throughout the production process,” Ryder said. “Their team is world class. The cover shows off exactly how perfect the cast is. Now imagine Wilma, Betty and Pebbles getting their prehistoric freak on — that’s why we’re so excited about releasing this movie.”

Ryder continued, “The sets are fantastic and the wardrobe is colorful. It’s exactly what you would expect if you are a fan of the cartoon; which I am. The cast transformed themselves into the lovable characters many of us grew up watching on TV.”

“The Flintstones: A XXX Parody” is based on the popular cartoon from the 1960’s. In New Sensations' version, Fred begins to panic when he believes Wilma is cheating on him, though she’s actually busy planning his surprise birthday party. The lack of parental supervision allows Pebbles to explore her budding sexuality and play with Bam-Bam’s club. Ms. Stone and Mr. Slate also get in on the fun.

New Sensations VP of Sales Belle Casten sees big potential for the movie. "The sexual connotations were written into the original cartoon, and the manifestation of these exploits is long overdue," she said.

The cast of “The Flintstones: A XXX Parody” also includes Misty Stone as Ms. Stone, Dale DaBone as Tyler, and Rod Fontana as Mr. Slate. The Flintstones’ living room was re-created down to the stone TV set. A working replica of Fred’s iconic car was built for actor Peter O’Toole to run around in. The most ambitious of the sets was the exterior of the Flintstones’ house, constructed out of 1200 pounds of plaster, 400 pounds of wood, 60 pounds of metal and 50 pounds of paint.
