Smash Pictures Adds New 3D Logo to Films

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Smash Pictures announced today that it has created a new 3D logo that will play before its movies and trailers without the need for special glasses.

According to Stuart Wall, Smash Pictures VP of sales and production, the new logo was developed with 3D motion graphics and Dolby sound and the combination of intense sound and breaking glass flying at the viewer is "something to see."

The first title in which the logo will appear is the October release of "Registered Nurse 3" starring Alexis Texas.

When asked if Smash is moving toward producing 3D movies Wall told XBIZ, "Moving into the 3D market is something we're in discussion with and considering moving toward for the future. In thinking of ways to strengthen ourselves to where tube site can't steal your footage 3D is the way to go."

He added, "Just like with novelties staying strong, you can't download a toy. At this time we were simply ready for a makeover in updating our logo with today's technology and our editing team really hit the spot with this 3D glass exploding effect."
