New Sensations’ ‘Tru: A XXX Parody’ Endorsed by HBO ‘True Blood’ Actress

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Mainstream actress Anna Paquin, the star of HBO’s “True Blood,” appeared on “Lopez Tonight” Tuesday and admitted to purchasing New Sensations “Tru: A XXX Parody” DVDs for her cast and crew.

“Actually, Steve and I were so amused by it that we got it for everyone on the cast and crew as a wrap gift,” she said.

Paquin’s generosity left her without her own copy of the movie, so “Lopez Tonight” host George Lopez provided her with a DVD obtained directly from New Sensations.

“You know you’ve really made it when your show inspires a pornographic film,” Lopez said.

Belle Casten, New Sensations’ vice-president of global sales said, “Any time one of our movies is featured on a mainstream show as like ‘Lopez Tonight,’ we see a spike in sales. First time consumers of adult entertainment will pick up a copy of ‘Tru: A XXX Parody’ due to their piqued curiosity, so it’s a good time for distributors and stores to stock up. The taboo of adult entertainment begins to fade when a popular show like ‘Lopez Tonight’ or ‘TMZ’ shows it is okay to indulge themselves.”

“Tru: A XXX Parody” stars Ashlynn Brooke, James Deen, Misty Stone, Bill Bailey, Gracie Glam, Johnny Castle, Lana Violet, Levi Cash, Lindy Lane, Say Sights and Vanessa Naughty.

Upon its release, the parody was prominently featured on entertainment sites like PerezHilton.com, Jezebel.com, PopWatch.ew.com, BestWeekEver.tv, NYMag.com and ScreenJunkies.com.

“True Blood” creator Alan Ball told Entertainment Weekly, “We just found out that they're doing a porn parody of ‘True Blood.’ That's certainly a moment of going ‘Wow, we've arrived.’”
