The movie is a prequel that’s slated to be released on Aug. 26.
“Creating ‘The Sex Files 2’ was a welcome challenge for all involved,” said Scott Taylor, president of Revolution X and Digital Sin. “As the trailer reveals, we greatly increased the budget for the second volume in order to give fans even greater digital FX. And of course, both Anthony Rosano and Kimberly Kane reprise their amazing chemistry as Mulder and Scully. We knew it would be difficult to improve upon one of the biggest movies of last year and I think this is going to blow everybody’s mind. Our team has exceeded my expectations.”
According to the company, the movie is set one year before the events of the first film, Mulder and Scully investigate a series of murders involving the Black Oil. Tensions run high as Mulder believes in an extraterrestrial presence, but Scully has her suspicions it’s an elaborate set-up by the Cigarette Smoking Man.
“Sex Files 2: A Dark XXX Parody” stars Bobbi Starr, Nikki Benz, Dani Jenson, India Summer, Jessie Palmer, Eric John, Rocco Reed, Ramon Nomar and Rod Fontana, as well as Michael Vegas, Chad Alva, J. Crew and Eddie Adams.
