Art Opening to Feature Shameless Photos

LOS ANGELES — Adult industry photographer Rick Shameless will host an art opening for his new photo book “PSSSSTT…Wanna Good Time?” on Saturday, Aug. 21 at the A&I Gallery in Hollywood.

The opening will showcase prints from Shameless’ first book, which is a collection of his Polaroid photography featuring dozens of adult film stars.

Shameless’ pictures are intimate, raw and unexpected.

“I’m just excited. It’s a project that’s close to my heart that I’ve spent a lot of my personal time doing,” Shameless told XBIZ. “It kind of just started as a fun alternative photo gallery and turned into a lot more than that. I like the instant gratification of shooting Polaroid. It was such a turn-on compared to what my daily life in this business is.”

And Shameless’ day job is anything but mundane. Now in his sixth full year in adult, the Los Angeles native has worked for numerous reputable companies as a still photographer in addition to directing movies. His recent directorial efforts include helming two volumes of the solo series “Shameless Amateurs” through a production deal with Shane’s World.

An accomplished mainstream shooter with 10 years in fashion photography before transitioning into adult, Shameless has photographed more than 50 porn starlets since he started the Polaroid project in early 2008. Among the girls featured in “PSSSST… Wanna Good Time?” are Kristina Rose, Georgia Jones, Gianna Michaels, Faye Reagan, Capri Anderson, Ava Rose, Karlie Montana, former performer Gia Jordan and more.

Copies of the book, which is being published by A&I, will be for sale at the opening, from 7 to 10 p.m. His prints will remain in the gallery through September.

“I’m stoked to get something out there like that,” Shameless said, adding that the opening is setting up to be a mix of both adult and mainstream personalities. “I want it to be a really fun evening.”

Shameless’ mainstream photo credits include “Italian Vogue,” “Interview,” “Flaunt,” “Bikini,” “Puta” and “Nylon.”

A&I Gallery is located at 933 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood 90038. Visit the Shameless blog for updates and more information.
