EroticVision.TV Adds PinkTV Channel for Roku DVP

MIAMI — EroticVision.TV has announced the addition of its first stand-alone adult channel, PinkTV, for the Roku Digital Video Player.

Over the past months, EroticVision.TV has been working with PinkTV to perfect the delivery of the PinkTV brand and content through streaming media designed for viewing on televisions instead of constrictive and limited PC monitors — or as PinkTV Co-president Bryan put it: “EVTV and PinkTV are bringing masturbation back to the couch.”

Bryan told XBIZ that PinkTV’s series entertain audiences with diverse high-quality productions that range from reality-based, behind-the-scenes content to BDSM and other plot-driven episodes. He characterized some of the series as dramatic or campy and humorous — however, always with an erotic twist.

“We want to be the HBO of porn,” Bryan said, noting that some series have mainstream appeal and can be enjoyed amongst friends.

“PinkTV’s serials really capture you in a way that the bulk of adult content doesn’t,” EroticVision.TV founder JJ said. “Whether you’re traveling to the edge of fantasy watching ‘Into the Mist’ or vicariously living the life of one of the denizens of a real cathouse in ‘The Brothel,’ PinkTV deeply and uniquely involves you in the experience; something truly noteworthy in an all too often ‘crank-it-out’ industry.”

PinkTV initially launched online, offering a free 24-hour channel for registered users, as well as VOD viewing. The site’s stylish design attracts both men and women, Bryan said.

“It may look like it has a softcore feel, but it’s not at all — it’s very much hardcore-based,” he added.

"Our unique content, which includes hardcore television series that are more erotic entertainment than just straight sex scenes, are made to be watched on a television with friends,” PinkTV Co-president Dan Recio said. “The Roku platform developed by EVTV allows us to do just that, capturing a tech-savvy and porn-hungry audience with a new level of content that the mainstream consumer has never seen before.”

EroticVisionTV’s new PinkTV channel is available to anyone who owns a Roku Digital Video Player as a “Hidden Channel,” which is a channel distributed outside of the Roku Channel Store.
