Playboy Celebrates 50th Anniversary in 3 Cities

CHICAGO — As part of its 50th anniversary "50 global party extravaganza," Playboy Enterprises is simultaneously celebrating in three cities on June 10.

Mez, a premiere restaurant and lounge in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina’s hip EpiCentre will turn one of its theaters into a Playboy Club and partygoers will have the opportunity to celebrate in true Playboy fashion.

The theater will be transformed and illuminated with historic images and video footage from the famed clubs. Guests will also be invited to party and dance the night away with Playboy Playmate Amanda Paige and enjoy the sounds of well-known S.K.A.M. artist DJ Fashen.

Mez's June 10 party will immediately follow Charlotte's after work celebration - Alive After Five. Happy hour revelers will be invited into Mez around 10 p.m. to toast the Playboy milestone.

In Vancouver, British Columbia, the Caprice Nightclub will open its doors as a Playboy Club and partygoers will have the opportunity to celebrate with the help of DJs Flipout and Johnny Jover.

In addition, the search for Playboy's Vancouver Bunny will also be taking place at Caprice Nightclub. Beautiful, outgoing ladies who are interested in representing their city are invited to enter the Vancouver bunny search online.

During the June 10 event, three judges — Red 1 of the Rascalz, Kid Carson from The Beat 94.5 and Karolina Turek from Karolina Turek Photography — will select Vancouver's hottest bunny.

The lucky bunny winner will have her photos submitted to Hugh Hefner for consideration for Playboy magazine, receive a $500 cash prize and will have her photos featured on PlayboyClub50 .

Not to be left out, San Diego’s Harrah's Rincon Casino and Resort’s Eclipse nightclub will also join in on the celebration.

"We are so excited to be part of this global celebration," Eclipse entertainment manager Carla Miller said. "We are recreating the Playboy experience, but with a San Diego twist — poolside and under the stars. This is going to be the sexiest party of the year."

The party at Eclipse, which was voted the number one nightclub in the Best of San Diego's annual readers' poll, will be hosted by DJ Eric Cubeechee, with special appearances by Playboy Playmates Jaime Faith Edmondson, Lindsey Gayle Evans, Michelle McLaughlin, Jennifer Campbell and Patrice Hollis.

Tickets for the Mez party are available for $10 through Bandtastic. Tickets will also be available for $20 at the door. For additional ticket information and event details visit MezCharlotte or PlayboyClub50.

For information on the Vancouver party and entry details visit BunnySearch.

The San Diego event tickets are available for $25 per person and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by phone (800) 745-3000 or online at TicketMaster. VIP cabana reservations are also available. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend the party.
