LOS ANGELES — Vivid Entertainment released its big-budget adaptation of the adult classic, “The Devil in Miss Jones” today.
The movie, "The Devil in Miss Jones The Resurrection," stars Vivid Girl Savanna Samson and adult superstar Belladonna. It was written by Raven Touchstone and Tony G and directed by former Vivid director Paul Thomas.
The original 1973 "The Devil in Miss Jones" is considered one of the smartest and artistic movies of its genre. It tells the story of a thirty-something spinster who kills herself because she feels her life is empty. Faced with an eternity in hell and confronted by the Devil, she is given the opportunity to live one more day and she chooses it to be a day consumed, engulfed and impassioned by lust.
"This is about the eternal battle between good and evil," said Savanna. "I play the glamorous and sophisticated publisher Pandora Phoenix, who also happens to be an agent of the Devil. She is truly nasty in every way and, of course, my character is wildly sexy and very serious about corrupting anyone within her reach, which makes her almost impossible to resist."
Far from “spinsterish,” Belladonna plays Justine Jones.
"This is erotica taken to the highest dramatic level. The storyline is compelling. The movie attacks religious hypocrisy, and the sex is incendiary since we all got into the satanic theme," Belladonna said.
She added, "I would say that my Miss Jones has an incredibly active, rich and creative sex life that makes it even harder for her to be tempted by Satan," she notes.
Other cast members include Penny Flame, Carmella Bing, Rebeca Linares, Victoria Sin, Evan Stone, Nick Manning, Steven St. Croix, Tom Byron and Kurt Lockwood.
The movie is available in high definition, Blu-ray in a 2-disk set that includes behind the scenes footage and a bonus scene from "The New Devil in Miss Jones" starring Jenna Jameson as the Devil and Savanna as Miss Jones. Also included are chapter search, positions menu and previews.
