Pipedream Hires New Marketing Manager

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Adult novelty manufacturer Pipedream Products has hired Kevin Johnson as its new marketing manager.

Johnson, who originally worked for the manufacturer as an independent contractor, said he is excited to be part of the Pipedream team full-time.

“It's thrilling to get to work for a company you've been a fan of since your late teens,” he said. “I've always gotten a big kick out of the witty copy they put on their clever items ever since I first walked into an adult book store when I was 18. Freelancing for Pipedream over the last couple of years gave me a good idea of what it would be like to work for them full-time. As luck would have it, they recently became in need of a marketing manager and I just so happened to be available.”

In addition to heading up the manufacturer's marketing efforts, Johnson will assist in writing copy for packaging, blogging, answering consumer questions, getting product to reviewers, expanding its social networking presence and more.

“Kevin came in and hit the ground running this week,” said Nick Orlandino, COO of Pipedream Products. “I've known Kevin a long time. He's got great credentials and has always been a hard worker. I'm happy he's part of the Pipedream team!”

This week, Pipedream Product launched a company Twitter account, which can be found at Twitter.com/pipedreamtoys. Johnson said exclusive promotions and giveaways would be made available to those that follow @PipedreamToys.

“This week we launched Fetish Friday,” he said. “Anyone who started following @PipedreamToys automatically got entered to win an item from our best-selling Fetish Fantasy Series. We'll pick and announce the winner the following Monday of each week, but you have to follow us on Twitter to hear about that!”

Johnson can be reached at kevin@pipedreamproducts.com.
