Navarro made the announcement Wednesday on his Internet radio show “Dark Matter With Dave Navarro” with guests XBIZ President and Founder Alec Helmy and adult star Sunny Leone, who is co-hosting the XBIZ Awards show with Teagan Presley.
Navarro’s rock stardom began as lead guitarist for legendary alternative rock band Jane’s Addiction. He also played alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers and enjoyed success as a solo artist. Most recently, he performs with cover band Camp Freddy.
In 2007, Navarro teamed with Teravision to direct his first adult movie “Broken,” which starred Sasha Grey. XBIZ recently announced he will be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming big-budget parody “Batman XXX: A Porn Parody.”
The 2010 XBIZ Awards are set for Feb. 10 at the legendary Avalon Hollywood. The show is held in conjunction with the three-day XBIZ LA conference running Feb. 9-11.
