Digital Playground Receiving Rave Reviews on ‘Pirates’ Toys

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Digital Playground has received much praise and several pre-orders for its recently launched line of adult novelty products based on its blockbuster title “Pirates.”

“I absolutely love the new toys from DP,” said Theresa Flynt, Hustler Hollywood executive vice president. “They are unique and beautiful, a real treasure to buy and have and a definite must-have in retail stock. These will sell just as well as their DVDs."

CalVista CEO Michael Bassett echoed her sentiments.

“It's always great to see new toy ranges but its fantastic to view a new line where one can see the creative input and solid company philosophy,” he said. “Digital Playground has never done things halfway and it's the same with this new toy line. The items are unique in design, very quiet, powerful, reliable and sexy! CalVista is excited to introduce this exciting extension of the Digital Playground brand to the savvy Australian market; with an official launch at AdultEx 2010 in March.”

Digital Playground is expanding its brand presence by creating an adult novelty line designed to compliment its blockbusters.

The initial launch for the Pirates themed line features 22 different designs with unique character and individual personalities based on the star characters of each of the two films.

“The response from buyers and consumers alike has been nothing short of outstanding,” said Farley Cahen, vice president of novelty development. “We've had to go into 24/7 production mode just to meet the demand of our initial orders. I'm extremely excited to be working closely with a number of outstanding distributors and retailers around the world. 2010 is shaping up to be a terrific for year for all of us.”

Digital Playground conducted focus group testing of the products with more than 50 participants.

“Ultra quiet, super-powered motors were manufactured to optimize stimulation while reducing distraction,” Cahen said. “Every aspect of the cutting edge designs, to highest quality materials and the unique packaging were carefully considered in an effort to create a branded line that consumers would be attracted to and retailers could profit from.”
