XBIZ Awards to Be Held at Legendary Avalon Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Top industry players and stars will converge on the eighth annual XBIZ Awards at a much-larger venue this year — Avalon Hollywood.

The event, slated for Feb. 10, recognizes the excellence and achievements for those companies and performers that play an essential role in the growth and popularity of adult entertainment around the globe.

Formerly the historic Palace theater, Avalon Hollywood has presented legendary performances from the Beatles to Snoop Dogg.

The grand venue first opened its doors in 1927 and has since become a Tinseltown landmark that through the decades has witnessed milestone performances from musical pioneers such as Ozzy Osborne, Billy Idol and Prince.

The venue has stayed on the cutting edge with iconic concerts featuring Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas and Justin Timberlake.

With its prime location near the intersection of Hollywood and Vine, Avalon’s state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems will illuminate the 1,200-capacity main room of the historic theater for the adult industry’s biggest business awards show.

Honoring the most influential companies and performers, the 2010 XBIZ Awards will be a star-studded culmination to XBIZ LA, the adult industry’s leading digital media trade event taking place Feb. 9-11 at the Sofitel Hotel in Hollywood.

Amassing a record-setting 2,365 preliminary nomination submissions, the official nominee list encompassing the Web & Tech, Movies & Production and Novelty & Retail award categories will be announced Dec. 16.

Access to the 2010 XBIZ Awards is strictly restricted to XBIZ LA 2010 conference badge holders. For event information and registration, click here.
