Vivid Obtains Prejean Sex Tape; Wants to Make Deal

LOS ANGELES — Vivid Entertainment has obtained a copy of the infamous sex tape made by Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean and is seeking to distribute it.

"We've now seen the footage that has been so much in the news lately; we've reviewed it and we are ready to negotiate with Carrie," Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said. “We look forward to contacting Carrie and forging a business relationship with her."

The tape was allegedly made by Prejean for a former boyfriend. Prejean, who currently is on a publicity tour to promote her book, has called the sex tape “the biggest mistake” of her life.

The tape’s existence was revealed last week by a Miss USA Pageant lawyer. Prejean was engaged in litigation with the pageant after she was fired in June by owner Donald Trump after racy lingerie pictures of her emerged that violated her contract.

Prejean sued the pageant in August claiming her firing was religious discrimination because of her vocal public disapproval of same-sex marriage. Pageant officials countersued, demanding Prejean pay back $5,200 it spent on her boob job.

The tape’s footage is said to feature a solo Prejean.

"The footage we saw is a series of very graphic and hot clips," Hirsch said. "Let's just say that she appears to be totally enthusiastic and is thoroughly enjoying herself. Carrie says the tape was 'the biggest mistake of my life.' That may be, but she can take this mistake and turn it into cold, hard cash. I'm more convinced than ever that this could be our best-selling Vivid-Celeb tape."

According to Vivid, the third party that brought the footage to Hirsch affirms that Prejean was over 18 when the tape was made.
