XBIZ Announces People's Choice Awards Categories Powered by XFANZ.com

LOS ANGELES — For the first time ever, the 2010 XBIZ Awards will feature categories in which fans of adult entertainment around the globe can vote for their favorites.

The 2010 XBIZ Awards, taking place on Feb. 10 in Hollywood, will feature 10 XFANZ.com People’s Choice Awards powered by adult fan site XFANZ.com. Fans and consumers of adult entertainment will be able to visit the voting page on XFANZ.com when it launches in mid-December to vote for their favorite stars, movies, directors and studios.

“The voice of the fan, the end consumer who ultimately votes with their wallet, is incredibly powerful and rewarding to receive,” XBIZ President and Publisher Alec Helmy said. “The XBIZ Awards is the most prestigious B2B awards show in the industry and bringing in the fans to vote via XFANZ.com is the next natural step forward. We encourage everyone in the industry to spread the word to their fans.”

The XFANZ.com People’s Choice Awards to be presented at the seventh annual XBIZ Awards will bestow honors in the following categories:

  • Female Porn Star of the Year
  • Male Porn Star of the Year
  • Best New Starlet of the Year
  • Porn Studio of the Year
  • Porn Director of the Year
  • Feature Movie of the Year
  • Gonzo Movie of the Year
  • Porn Parody of the Year
  • Web Babe of the Year
  • Porn Site of the Year

“We look forward to all the nominees promoting these awards to the fans on Twitter, MySpace, their websites, message boards and throughout the world of social media,” XBIZ Premiere Editor-in-Chief Steve Javors said. “The entire team is thrilled to introduce this fun and exciting element to our already prestigious awards show. We’re gonna rock Hollywood on Feb. 10, so get ready!”

Fans will be able to write in votes for each category in addition to choosing from a pre-selected list of nominees.
