“With my Club years behind me now, I’m very anxious to get started with Rising Star,” Massaro said. “I’m very excited to join a company that I really believe in and to work with the roster that includes some great talent and some great friends. It’s a great opportunity that I couldn’t pass up.”
Massaro worked for Club Media, which published Club International and Club Confidential magazines, for 24 years until it was sold to Magna Publishing last month.
During her years with Club, Massaro was the U.S. liaison for the company, which was based in London. She worked with photographers, writers and the company’s long list of exclusive contract stars, which included Marilyn Chambers, Ginger Lynn, Tera Patrick and Jenna Jameson.
“Lisa brings a lot to the table,” Rising Star founder Devan Cypher said. “She is greatly respected within the industry and has a long history of working with A-list talent, including personal relationships with several stars on our roster.”
Massaro’s first order of business will be attending Exxxotica NY this weekend, the company said.
“We think it’s important to have someone attend these events with our talent,” Rising Star’s Acme Andersson said. “There is no one better at this than Lisa. With Lisa Ann and Monique Alexander — both of whom already know and love Lisa — headed to the show, this is the perfect time for Lisa to get started.”
