Playboy.com’s Scott Smith Elevated to Editor of Content

CHICAGO — Playboy Enterprises Inc. has tapped a new editor and director of content for Playboy.com.

Scott Smith, previously the website’s senior editor, has been chosen for the slot, which will be responsible for building awareness of Playboy brands on the web, as well as for online editorial content.

“Scott’s managerial experience and expertise in the digital space make him the perfect choice to oversee the site,” said Jimmy Jellinek, editorial director of Playboy magazine and Playboy.com.

Prior to Playboy, Smith served as web editor of entertainment magazine Time Out Chicago, where he oversaw the development of its blog. He also served as co-editor of Chicagoist.com.
