Grey Art Inks DVD Distro Deal With New Sensations/Digital Sin

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Performer Sasha Grey's Grey Art Productions has entered an exclusive distribution agreement with New Sensations/Digital Sin for the DVD distribution of all Grey Art movies.

"The Birthday Party," the first Grey Art release, will be released by Digital Sin on Sept. 3. The production was co-directed by Grey and Oren Cohen. The previously announced "The Fuck Junkie" is being reserved for later release.

"New Sensations is a perfect fit for Grey Art, as it gives us the liberty to manage our other revenue streams all in-house — such as our company website, SashaGrey.com, and our broadcast arrangements with Spice — continuously allowing us to maintain our brand identity," Grey said. "When we sat down with Scott Taylor we were very lucky he understood why we wanted to take this approach, and he was very open to the idea. I feel each Grey Art title becomes increasingly definable to my mode, and hopefully my audience will see and enjoy this progression. I have some very stylized ideas in the works, and I can't wait to share them with everybody."

Grey Art was started by Grey and Cohen in April "to deliver the finest in high end vignettes and feature adult films."

"We're thrilled to be marketing and distributing Grey Art's line, and to begin a new relationship with such respected colleagues as Sasha, Oren, and their creative team at Grey Art," said Scott Taylor, president of New Sensations/Digital Sin. "Sasha is one of the biggest names in the industry and this label showcases her unique and creative artistic vision that is the perfect compliment to the edginess of the existing Digital Sin line. We look forward to the future of this exciting partnership."
