Crow has liquidated DVD wholesaler and importer Vixen Direct and the Erotica Expo in May and renamed them Z4K74D and Malibu Media, respectively.
A liquidator for both companies told New Zealand news website Stuff.co.nz that Crow’s concerns owed a combined $407,000 to unsecured creditors. Chances are slim they would be paid back. Crow blamed Vixen Direct’s woes on parallel importing and piracy, while Erotica Expo’s attendance numbers suffered in its last two shows.
"I don't have any obligation to [pay back creditors] and it's an unfortunate fact of business these days,” Crow told Stuff.co.nz. “No one does it to me when they go under."
Crow said that Vixen Direct and Erotica Expo were owned wholly by CVC Group, which sold those assets to Eden Digital. According to the report, Eden Digital is launching new live-cam and video streaming websites targeting overseas markets.
Despite his current hardships and restructuring Crow promised to continue his Erotica Expo along with the popular Boobs on Bikes event in Auckland in September and in New Plymouth in October.
