SexToy Dave to Appear on VH1's ‘Megan Wants a Millionaire’

LOS ANGELES — SexToy.com and CNV.com owner Dave Levine, aka SexToy Dave, will appear on VH1’s newest reality dating show, “Megan Wants a Millionaire,” premiering Aug. 2.

This edition of the network’s finding-love-focused program features past show contestant Megan Hauserman who seeks a rich man to essentially act as a “sugar daddy.” Levine told XBIZ that because of his past appearances on Bravo’s “Millionaire Matchmaker,” casting agents had him in mind to participate.

“Many people know I am open to and seeking reality show opportunities,” Levine said. “And since that casting person saw me on the other show she knew that I was into that sort of thing and did well with it in the past.”

Levine said TV appearances like these have done well for his business in some unconventional ways, including opening the possibility of having his own reality show focused on him.

“I was just in a meeting today with a production company pitching my ideas,” Levine said. “The process to getting your own show is very very long. I feel I am on the right path, but it will be while longer before that happens if it does.”

Levine’s appearances have improved SEO and garnered some traffic boosts to his many online retail sites, including SexToy.com, and he said they have undoubtedly made networking and deal making easier than ever.

"When I go to conventions now, it feels like so many people recognize me,” Levine said. “Talking about my TV appearances is usually a fun conversation to break the ice before getting down to business."

Levine owns and operates CNV.com, parent company to several Internet-based business-to-business sites focused on adult retail, including affiliate program MyFreeWebsite.com and wholesale/dropship program SexToyClub.com.

"Not only is this free marketing, they actually pay me to do it,” Levine said. “The only cost is the embarrassment of being on a crazy show — but actually, I enjoy it and love the attention. This VH1 show could be much bigger than “Millionaire Matchmaker,” so we will see. These appearances may all just be stepping stones to bigger and better TV opportunities.”
