CNBC Plans Porn Documentary for July 15

NEW YORK — Cable news channel CNBC has announced plans to air an original production, "Porn: Business of Pleasure" on July 15. The program will be hosted by CNBC reporter Melissa Lee.

A CNBC spokesperson told XBIZ that the program will focus on the business end of the adult industry.

CNBC Original Productions have included "The Oprah Effect," a look at Oprah Winfrey and her influence on consumers; "Cruise, Inc.," a look at the business of ocean cruises; and "Dirty Money: The Business of High-End Prostitution," which included interviews with three call girls and a man who was a patron of high-end prostitutes.

"Porn: Business of Pleasure" is scheduled to air on CNBC on July 15 at 9 p.m. EDT, with repeats at 10 p.m. and 1 a.m.

CNBC is a unit of NBC Universal offering business-oriented programming during the day and talk and entertainment programming at night.
