Stormy Daniels to Host FAME Awards

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures contract performer and potential U.S. Senate candidate Stormy Daniels will host the 2009 FAME (Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment) Awards Show on Saturday, June 13, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

“I am truly honored to host the FAME Awards this year. FAME means a lot to the adult industry because it puts the power into the hands of the fans,” Daniels said. “Keep your eyes peeled for some very special guests and some Wicked surprises.”

Daniels was named the 2008 FAME Favorite Director, and won Favorite Breasts in 2006 and 2007.

Fans of adult can vote on their favorites for the 2009 FAME Awards at the awards website. Fans selected a new category this year, Favorite Star Website, and a committee of industry professionals selected the eight finalists in that category.

"FAME is pleased to continue its tradition of having the most popular adult stars in the world hosting this show,” said Dan Davis, FAME Awards spokesman and Genesis magazine's editor-in-chief. “Stormy follows a long list of adult superstar hosts including Jesse Jane, Tera Patrick and Carmen Luvana. With Stormy, we know we can expect an incredible show and a very memorable experience.”

The FAME Awards were created in 2006 by Genesis Magazine, Adam & Eve, WantedList.com and AVN.com as a way for fans to honor their favorite adult film stars, directors, movies and companies. It is the first show where the fans take part in the entire process, from choosing the finalists to ultimately selecting the winners in over a dozen categories.

The awards show is slated to take place June 13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Admission to the 2009 FAME Awards is free with admission to Erotica LA.
