Adult Entertainment Portal EdgeXD.com Launches Today

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. — A next-gen user experience has come to adult entertainment on the web with the launch of EdgeXD.com. A new portal designed to give men unparalleled access to adult content, the website features many Web 2.0 elements integrated into its sleek interface.

EdgeXD.com is the brainchild of Top Shelf Media Partners’ founder Brent Chapman and seeks to integrate a large library of exclusive and non-exclusive adult content into a dynamic membership experience that is more lifestyle brand than adult website.

“Joining a typical adult website is like a gym membership in that the gym is more focused on the next customer rather than retaining your business, because the turnover is so high,” Chapman told XBIZ. “This is the exact opposite of the experience EdgeXD members can expect. We want to create a total entertainment portal that is focused on delivering the best content to our users. We want you to customize your porn viewing experience with us and keep coming back. This is not a disposable thing we’ve created.”

The website features a plethora of “sticky” content including thousands of videos, photos, adult games, original editorial, “guy” product reviews and a shopping portal filled with the latest gadgets.

“We’re trying to create a curated approach to delivering adult content,” Chapman said. “Not everything has been encoded yet, but we have over 30,000 clips for our members with adult content in so many different niches. There is something for everyone on EdgeXD.com."

The EdgeXD.com portal revolves around four main feature sections.

In the My Stash portal members can save their favorite videos, creating a customized channel that can then be shared with the EdgeXD community.

“This feature gives users the ability to manage their porn, kind of like an iTunes playlist,” Chapman said. “This feature is really nonexistent on tube sites or other membership sites where you can only stream or have to download videos to your hard drive, but can’t view all the ones you liked or have saved within a single browser window.”

Next is the Lounge where members can check out exclusive videos, photo shoots, original interactive adult games, view a stock ticker, check sports scores and watch highlights and read original articles on everything from music to gadgets to pop culture.

The Black Market section is a space where users can shop for the latest in “man gear.” Points are earned for the more time you spend on the site that can then be redeemed for products.

Channels serves as the main section where the adult content is grouped according to niche.

“People that love adult videos and content are no different than those that love music and mainstream movies but until now, adult content hasn’t been organized, shareable and high quality,” continued Chapman. “EdgeXD will do for adult entertainment what Last.FM has done for music and what Hulu has done for video. There is no reason why men who care about quality and customer service can’t get both on an adult site.”

Additionally, the company has named a bevy of big-name featured stars including Heather Vandeven, Sunny Leone, Lux Kassidy and Jayme Langford.

EdgeXD memberships start at $2.95 for a three-day trial and go up to $24.95 per month for unlimited access. To celebrate the launch of EdgeXD, customers can sign up for unlimited monthly access for only $12.95 until May 31.
