Channel 1 Releasing Says to 'Man Up'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Production and distribution house Channel 1 Releasing has a compilation toplining Tommy Blade, an all-black fuck flick new to DVD and a popular early-'80s blue movie ready to hit the wholesale-retail market via its new release slate.

The compilation "Man Up" sports popular star Tommy Blade on its cover and draws together erotic vignettes from catalog titles including the All Worlds Video and Catalina Video labels.

Featured players in "Man Up" include Drew Andrews, Robert Black, Dean Campbell, Anthony Gallo, Buddy Jones, Andrew Lennox, Rick Matthews, Steve Rambo, Jack Ryan, Todd Shore and Jake Taylor.

The latest from helmer Ron Rico is "Black Blockbusters" on the All Worlds line. "An all-black cast gets nasty in this fuck-and-suck fest," the studio said. The film was originally produced and distributed in 1999.

Singly named cast members in "Black Blockbusters" include Craig, Derrick, Eddie, G.Q., James, Matthew, Phaze, Spencer and Vito.

Channel 1 Releasing also is flacking the "25th Anniversary Edition" of "Friends are Best." The blue movie was produced by William Higgins and directed by Robert Prion for Catalina Video in 1983.

Castmates include Anthony Baker, Tom Caysen, Chris Hunter, Steve Karo, Tony Larson, Todd Lawrence, Ted Mandren, Brad Merrill, Jay Richards and Johnny Royale.
