Gmunder, Corbin Fisher 'Playing Hard to Get'

BERLIN — Publishing and distribution house Bruno Gmunder has updated its release schedule to include several books whose content is drawn from gay adult. "Playing Hard to Get" is a photobook whose subject includes performers featured on the popular pro/am online studio CorbinFisher.com.

"Within just a few years the name of this newcomer label has become a synonym: Corbin Fisher stands for the American dream boy — athletic, sexy and easygoing," said the company.

Described as "a U.S.-counterpart" to Euro-studio Bel Ami, Gmunder said a collaboration between those two companies is in the works.

"Playing Hard to Get" is the second Corbin Fisher photobook, following "Amateur College Men."

"This time, these dream guys play outside — they have fun, they do sports and of course they come into contact with each other. None of the guys has a fear of being touched. In contrast, they don't even seem to be aware of the cameras around them," the company said. "Corbin Fisher managed to capture the thrilling intimacy of these encounters with a tender sense for the perfect mood."

Elsewhere on the Gmunder release slate is "Shooting Male" from noted shutterbug Eric Schwabel. The book's cover model is Channel 1 Releasing exclusive Johnny Hazzard.

"Schwabel doesn't want to polarize — much more, he loves to juggle with extremes. Sex appeal and genuineness dash against spirit and perfection, and the result is no less then phenomenal," the company said.

"Shooting Male" and "Playing Hard to Get" will be released to the European Union market in May and are scheduled to reach the U.S. in July.

Recent tomes featuring gay adult performers include the 38th edition of the Spartacus International Gay Guide, which features on its cover real-life boyfriends and Falcon Studios exclusives Aden Jaric and Jordan Jaric.

Both the Spartacus guide as well as "Champions," a hardcover photobook culled from Falcon’s recent output, will hit the U.S. market next month.
