Kylie Ireland Directs 1st Feature

VENICE, Calif. — When veteran performer Kylie Ireland decided to direct her first story-driven feature, "The Porn Principal," she took a director's cameo and cast herself as a bride who gets violated by her groom and the priest for a scene two characters will watch.

“It’s a little bit as if Tim Burton were to direct a porn scene,” Ireland said. "I bought a wedding dress and had it altered to be a straightjacket, and the scene opens with me bound before the altar, arms outstretched and wrapped in vines of black roses. After the vows are exchanged, we move right to the blowjob.”

The scene ramps up, with Ireland's costars Steve Holmes and Marco Banderas in double-penetration positions and a finale with both men finishing in a tarnished silver champagne wedding flute that Ireland uses to toast the occasion.

“I love being a filthy whore in front of the camera,” Ireland said. "And it is easy with two great performers like Steve and Marco.”

Ireland has directed gonzo videos and Internet scenes, and said that performing and directing a sex scene is "always difficult."

“I want to immerse myself in the scene, yet a piece of my mind has to remain in the director’s chair, making sure I get all the footage needed," Ireland said. "I really have to communicate to my crew — especially my director of photography, my associate director and my cameramen — about what I want and need. They are wonderful at working with me to make sure we get everything necessary.”

"The Porn Principal" is set for a fall release from Night Moods Productions.
