Coquette International to Debut 30th Anniversary Intimate Apparel Line

ONTARIO, Canada — Coquette International Inc. will debut its 30th anniversary 2009-2010 main line and its respective catalog at the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas.

The event is set for April 20-22 at the Rio Hotel & Casino.

Coquette’s representative Rebecca Goettling told XBIZ the company will have a booth showcasing at least 30 styles on sale at 50 percent off, in addition to a sweepstakes in which a Coquette customer will win a Hawaii vacation. The winner will be chosen April 21 at Coquette’s booth.

“Coquette has come a long way from when Catherine Horea, senior vice president of Coquette International Inc., first began sewing the original garments in her home on her Sears Kenmore sewing machine,” Goettling said. “She designed, cut and sewed the first Coquette line of open-crotch panties, corsets, baby dolls, garter belts and French maid outfits and sold them to local stores in her home town.

“Today Coquette International employs four young talented designers and sells worldwide. Thirty years in the fashion industry requires a lot of desire and hard work, and we promise to maintain our powerful reputation as well as to continue providing our significant customers with the premier brand that’s been there for them since 1979.”

According to Goettling, the key to Coquette’s success is staying on top with fashion trends while adding a unique flair and using premium quality fabrics. Each year, the Coquette design team adds modernized pieces to its existing seven collections.

Goettling added that while the 30-year milestone is proof of the company’s dedication, it is the customers that made it possible.

“Our customers are the foundation which make every year in this business possible and greater than the last,” Goettling said. “We proudly present genuine authenticity to each individual customer while striving to exceed their expectations.”

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Coquette also will host a part at Lucky Strikes Lanes inside Rio on April 21 from 8:30-midnight.

Coquette is sold at retail stores nationwide and in Canada, as well as through online retailers.
