May Issue of Unzipped Available Early Online

LOS ANGELES — The controversial May edition of Unzipped magazine featuring Beau Breedlove on the cover has been made available online one week prior to its newsstand sales date. The digital edition is available for purchase now at UndercoverMags.com.

"As we prepare to release the highly anticipated and hotly debated May issue of Unzipped on April 7, we are excited to partner with UndercoverMags.com to offer the magazine a week in advance," said David Kalmansohn, editorial director of Unzipped Media.

"The subject has already created tremendous buzz online, and now readers can download the digital edition and draw their own conclusions about Mr. Breedlove’s interview and pictorial."

Unzipped Media publishes Unzipped, Men and Freshmen gay adult magazines and their respective websites.

Breedlove is the young administrative aide at the center of the recent sex scandal involving Portland, Ore., mayor Sam Adams, who imperiled his political career and ignited a national scandal when it was revealed that he had conducted a sexual relationship in 2005 with Breedlove, a mayoral intern who was then 18 years old.

Adams has admitted to initially covering up the true nature of their relationship. Both have maintained that Breedlove, now 21, was legally of age when their trysts turned intimate. After facing several weeks of blogosphere-fueled negative publicity and amid numerous calls to resign, Adams ultimately decided to remain in office.

Breedlove received financial compensation, a magazine rep told XBIZ in an earlier interview, but the amount has not been revealed. He was photographed mid-February in Los Angeles by Edendale Studios.
