“The Sunshyne Story” follows the legal battles of Sunshyne Video as they opened a second retail store in Maryville. The movie was shot and directed by Marcus Washington of Lawless Filmz and stars Rebekah Lawless. Lawless plays the part of a local reporter who is determined to let everyone know the “true story” about Sunshyne Video. Included in the film is a cameo appearance by owner David Anderson. Along with the story are sex scenes intended to show just how far a reporter will go to get the whole story.
Representatives at the company said the movie was shot as a documdrama to detail how far churches and small town politics will go to shut out the adult industry.
Sunshyne Video reportedly has plans to have at least 35 titles released on DVD by the end of the year, releasing between 8-10 titles per month.
In other company news, Sunshyne Video has opened a new pay site that shows all of its movie releases, as well as photo shoots of some of its models.
