The company kicked off the contest in which fans vote for their favorite girls at the 2009 XBIZ Awards and treated the assembled crowd to a world premiere showing of a teaser to its upcoming release, “Sun Goddess: Malibu,” a prequel to “Sun Goddess: Jamaica.”
“Sun Goddess: Malibu” stars Teagan Presley, Sasha Grey, Adam & Eve’s Bree Olson and Gianna Lynn and features four solo sex scenes and four girl/girl scenes. With the entire cast of ‘Malibu’ already committed to appear in ‘Jamaica’, SkinworXXX has added Jenna Haze, Sunny Leone and Eva Angelina to the project.
“We knew having names this big would lend to the exposure of the project, but we weren’t sure of the chemistry since these girls haven’t shot together previously,” director Joshua said. “When the cameras rolled, we saw some of the hottest action we have ever seen, in girl/girl or boy/girl.”
The project’s official website went live right after the awards at SunGoddessXXX.com. Female performers can submit themselves for consideration on the website using the online submission form. After the fans vote, the top 10 vote getters will appear in “Sun Goddess: Jamaica” alongside the already announced stars.
“Malibu is simply a prequel,” Joshua said. “We originally were going to produce just a tease sequence to show at XBIZ to highlight our new big project, ‘Sun Goddess: Jamaica.’ It turned into a whole feature. This is only a small sample of what’s to come this summer.”
All the stars will fly to Jamaica later this year for the four-day shoot, followed by six days of after-partying where fans can join the once-in-a-lifetime experience through giveaways on the movie’s website.
“The girls that are gonna win this contest are the girls that promote themselves the most,” Joshua said. “With the Internet, girls have direct access to the fans, so this should be one of the biggest viral marketing campaigns of all-time, mainstream or adult. We aren’t looking for just the 10 prettiest girls in adult; we want the 10 girls who want this the most.”
Submissions will be narrowed down from 100 contestants and fans can vote for their favorites once per day.
Adding to the appeal and reach of the ambitious project, the Search for Sun Goddess XXX will be a network television show later this spring and fans will be able to tune into webisodes on the Sun Goddess XXX website next month to catch the behind-the-scenes antics during the Malibu shoot.
SunGoddessXXX.com features five downloadable wallpapers from the Malibu shoot, a hardcore teaser for the prequel and an online submission form for female performers. Once the initial star submissions go live on the site, fans will be able to browse galleries of the stars in the contest, watch video of the stars, and launch directly to the stars websites and MySpace pages.
“Sun Goddess: Malibu” was shot in high-definition by B Skow, with Joshua directing. Teagan Presley is the project’s executive producer. The movie will be available in March on DVD and Blu-ray with video-on-demand to follow in the spring.
