SunLust Pictures Kicks Off With ‘Dark Side of the Sun’

LOS ANGELES — Sunny Leone’s SunLust Pictures has set a Friday street date for the company’s first release, “Dark Side of the Sun.”

Directed by Luther King and starring Leone, the movie also features Brea Lynn, Celeste Star, Penny Flame and Ariel King.

"When Sunny and I first talked about doing a movie I knew she wanted something different than anything she had done before,” King said. “I knew we had to dim the lights and get to work. You have to eclipse the sun if you want to see what really shines in the darkness."

Leone launched SunLust Pictures in August. Vivid Entertainment is distributing the company’s movies.

“Dark Side of the Sun” showcases Leone in every scene except for one — a boy/girl romp with Penny Flame and Tony DeSergio.

"Sunny’s beauty is unrivaled and her smile is blinding, but I wanted to see what her deviant side was like,” King said. “I wanted to see what she really wanted to do. Some of these things we couldn't shoot cause people truly would have been shocked. All of the talent was picked by Sunny and she knew exactly what she wanted. I think what was done with the sex, the leather, the tone, and the dark twist it's all wrapped in will really turn peoples’ heads. What we got in this movie is pure passion from the back alleys of Sunny’s fantasies.”

Leone is celebrating the movie’s release with a weekend of appearances at Harry Mohney’s Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas.

The celebration kicks off on Friday with a “Dark Side of the Sun” premiere at 8 p.m. The movie will be re-screened that night at 10 p.m. and midnight in addition to five showings on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. and continuing every two hours.

Leone will be on hand on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. to meet and greet fans. Copies of the movie will be available for Leone to autograph.

The weekend’s grand finale that night features a performance at 10 p.m. by the Spyderz, a hard rock band held by Evan Seinfeld.

“We knew that we needed to do something special for the first SunLust Pictures release,” Leone said. “We have worked hard to produce a great movie, and with Vivid backing, we know it will be a success. We needed to make sure we had a premiere that was as special and sexy as the movie itself.”
