XBIZ News Debuts on Twitter

LOS ANGELES — In an effort to keep the Web 2.0 community informed of all the latest adult entertainment news, XBIZ has launched its official Twitter news feed. By following XBIZ on Twitter, users will receive a real-time feed of all the news that posts to XBIZ.com every day.

To add XBIZ News to your Twitter feed, go to Twitter.com/XBIZ and click “follow.”

The social networking tool and micro-blogging platform has gained steam in the adult community in recent months. The service allows users to read each other’s posts, called Tweets, much like a no-frills Facebook wall. Updates are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them.

Adult stars have joined Twitter as a way to connect with their fan base. Jesse Jane, Stoya, Joanna Angel, Alektra Blue, Sasha Grey, Jessica Drake, Belladonna and Marie Luv all are active Twitter members.

"I use Twitter to get closer to my fans,” Jesse Jane told XBIZ. “It's more personal than MySpace, though I still love MySpace. I love the direct messaging and how I can give and receive minute-by-minute details. Twitter lets me personally connect with my fans and stay on top of news, like XBIZ, and sports, like Pete Carroll and the USC Trojans. It's so addictive that I do it while driving, but don't tell!"

In addition to accessing Twitter from its website, many free software applications exist for iPhone and Blackberry users to Tweet while on the go. Users also can access the Twitter mobile WAP site or text message their Tweets to the service.

Founded in 2006, Twitter has more than 5 million members.
