Cybersocket Web Awards Set for Feb. 9

LOS ANGELES — The 9th Annual Cybersocket Web Awards are set to unspool Monday, Feb. 9, in West Hollywood, honoring the best in GLBT online adult entertainment.

"The Cybersocket Web Awards show is the only event of its kind to honor the year's best GLBT sites," the company said. "We feel it's essential to honor individuals and companies who are acting as industry innovators, agents of free expression, and cultural ambassadors for queer online media and entertainment."

The Web Awards are split into two categories: Industry Choice Awards, with 11 sub-categories; and the Surfer's Choice Awards, which counts 26 sub-categories. (Full disclosure: XBIZ.com is nominated for Best Industry Magazine.)

Industry Choice sub-categories include Best Affiliate Program, Billing Company, Business Person of the Year, Video Company Site and Web Content Provider.

Various Surfer's Choice sub-categories include Best Adult Novelties Site, Amateur Video Site, Fetish Site, Porn Star Site, VOD Site and Voyeur Site.

The invitation-only awards show will be held at Eleven Restaurant & Nightclub in West Hollywood, Calif.

Directrix Chi Chi LaRue will serve as emcee, with Rascal Video exclusives Johnny Hazzard and Blake Riley appearing as trophy boys.

Tim Valenti and Sister Roma of online entertainment series "The Tim & Roma Show" are set to anchor a red carpet arrivals pre-show to stream live at NakedSword, a show sponsor.

Additional sponsors include BuddyProfits, Epoch and Men4RentNow.

The Cybersocket Web Awards serve as the kickoff event for the XBIZ Conference, set for Feb. 10-12 in Woodland Hills, Calif.
