Genesis to Publish ‘Devil in Miss Jones’ Collector’s Edition

NEW YORK — Popular men’s magazine Genesis is publishing a standalone collectible supplement devoted entirely to the upcoming Vivid Entertainment release “The New Devil in Miss Jones.” The supplement will be packaged with the December issue, which hits newsstands Sept. 27, one day before the DVD arrives in stores.

The movie, which stars Vivid Girl Jenna Jameson as the Devil and Vivid Girl Savanna Samson as Miss Jones, is a remake of the 1970s adult classic of the same name.

Genesis Editor-in-Chief Dan Davis said the co-branded issue marks the first time that a nationally distributed men’s magazine has created a separate publication for an adult film.

“This is an exciting departure for Genesis,” Davis said. “We thought that this would be a wonderful opportunity to treat our readers to coverage of a film with a rich and colorful history … starring the top talent in the industry.”

The magazine supplement will feature artwork from the DVD on the cover. Highlights of the publication include exclusive interviews with Jameson, Samson and director Paul Thomas.

There is also an in-depth article on the history of the movie, including conversations with the original Miss Jones, Georgina Spelvin, and director Gerard Damiano, as well as Steven Hirsch, Vivid co-founder and co-chairman.

Exclusive images from both the original movie and the remake — including behind-the-scenes photos from the production — also are featured in the special publication, along with a two-sided centerfold with Samson on one side and Jameson on the other.

Readers will have an opportunity to enter a contest to win “The Ultimate Vivid DVD Collection” — 100 DVDs plus a copy of “The New Devil in Miss Jones” signed by the stars as well as Savanna Samson sex toys and a subscription to Genesis.

The main issue of the December Genesis also will feature both Jameson and Samson on the cover and will have an exclusive new pictorial and centerfold of Samson.
