ManHunt Wraps Marathon Amateur Shoot for OntheHunt.com

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Manhunt has completed a five-day shooting marathon for its sister amateur content site OntheHunt.com, a website connecting members of the social networking site to shoot scenes filmed by a collection of gay porn stars.

OntheHunt webmaster Gary Blumenthal told XBIZ that the company just completed shooting five months worth of exclusive footage just a few days ago and has enough footage to update the site three times a week with full-length scenes.

Blumenthal said 40 scenes, often lasting 45 minutes each, were shot in just five days — resulting in 22 couples scenes, 18 solo scenes and enough behind-the-scenes footage for a special bonus section of the site that is currently in the works.

ManHunt CEO Adam Segel said ManHunt posted a casting call to its 2.2 million members asking for anyone interested in shooting porn for the first time. Of 4,000 entries, Segel and Blumenthal whittled the applicants to just 20 men and flew them to Las Vegas to shoot.

The men spent five days in a beautiful mansion, Segel said, abiding by only two important rules: no drugs, and no sex without the camera rolling.

"The entire experience was fun and different, and I'd definitely like to do more if you ever have the need," OntheHunt amateur performer Ryan told Blumenthal in an email. "The solo was very nerve-racking for me, it being my first time, but I think by the last scene I was able to get into the groove! I hope it turns out well, and am looking forward to seeing what comes up on the site."

Segel told XBIZ that the company's motivation for this site was to offer gay porn fans authentic reality-style content featuring real amateur men without the heavy editing that most gay porn undergoes.

"The site is made to appeal to all types," Segel said. "Twinks, daddies, bears — we have something for everyone."

Segel said some of the gay porn stars they work with — whose only job was to remain behind the camera — include Colin O'Neal, Matthew Rush, Jeremy Hall, Caesar, Trevor Knight and Arpad Miklos.

Segel said he and Blumenthal currently are looking for a new location for their next OntheHunt shoot and might head to the East Coast for the next project.

Segel also said the OntheHunt affiliate program currently features a 1:220 conversion rate and offers webmasters immediate assistance with a stellar customer service program and collection of tools to maximize revenue.

Webmasters currently receive 50 percent of every join and an additional 50 percent every month that member remains.
