OhMiBod Renames Vibrator Line to Avoid Confusion

GREENLAND, New Hampshire — High-tech adult toy maker OhMiBod has renamed its newest line of music-driven vibrators to avoid confusion with Apple Inc.’s iPod nano. The Naughtibods will be shipping in four new colors in a few weeks.

The line was originally called Naughtinano, which created a perception that it was only worked with iPod nano — which isn’t the case at all.

“We found that consumers were confused by the name,” Suki Dunham of OhMiBod told XBIZ. “Many thought that this particular music vibe only functioned with iPod nanos. The intent when we named this product as Naughtinano was to instill a sense of size to this product. It measures 5.5 inches in size, the perfect size for carrying in your purse or when you travel.”

In several weeks, OhMiBod will begin shipping the phthalate-free vibe in red, purple, yellow and tangerine, in addition to black, pink, blue and green that already had been on the market.

The Naughtibods are designed to color-match with Apple's latest iPod nanos, Dunham said. The vibrators have “a velvet finish and a curvy silhouette making it as enticing to the eye as the touch,” she said.
