'Sexpert' Kim Airs Joins Pipedream Products

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Kim Airs, founder of the sexuality boutique Grand Opening! and certified sex educator, has joined adult novelty distributor Pipedream Products as the new resident “sexpert,” who will be in charge of educational seminars, training for distributors and retailers, developing products and expanding sales.

“I am looking forward to increasing brand awareness,” Airs told XBIZ. “I want to do outreach with the home-party people and get our products in lingerie stores and other venues..”

Airs founded sexuality boutique Grand Opening! in Boston suburb Brookline, Mass., in 1993. Grand Opening! closed its retail store in 2005 and now operates on the web at GrandOpening.com. She has been certified as a sex educator by PPLM in Boston and is a charter member of the International Society For the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, which was founded in 1998. She was vice president of the Brookline Chamber of Commerce while operating Grand Opening! and served on the boards of the Coolidge Corner Theatre and the Free Speech Coalition.

“By adding Kim’s years of retail experience to increasing product awareness and her vast sex education knowledge, she is a welcomed addition to the Pipedream family," Pipedream COO Nick Orlandino said. "We look forward to having this internationally known leader of high-quality erotic toys and pleasure spread the word of Pipedream Products.”

Pipedream Products manufactures nearly 3,000 gifts, gags, lotions, vibes and novelties. The company's motto is "We don’t make the orgasm ... we make the orgasm better."
