Stockroom Stocks Up on Erotic Halloween Costumes

LOS ANGELES — With the World Series set to get under way and Halloween just around the corner, fetish retailer Stockroom.com is gearing up by stocking erotic costumes just in time.

Baseball players and nurses are among the most popular costumes, for which the trend in general has been towards “sexier” this year, according to Ann-Marie Holman, Stockroom.com brand manager.

“We feel the influence of erotic fashions in mainstream music, movies and TV have all impacted fashion trends,” Holman said.

Stockroom’s inventory of costumes also reflects consumer requests and the “styles reflect some of America’s favorite topics and enable wearers to live out their fantasies at least one night a year,” Holman said.

Common themes include witches, police, car racing, gambling, angels, doctors and nurses. The five-piece Homerun Hitter costume includes a cap, gloves, inflatable bat, knee socks and a zipper front dress.

Stockroom is lowering prices on its signature leather goods, which are handmade in Los Angeles. Among the most popular items are the prancing pony or snorting stallion in the pony head bridle with feather plume and the guillotine hood.
