Escape from Camp Conversion

When Jenna's (Octavia Red) parents discover her relationship with an older woman, they are horrified at the idea that their precious daughter might be gay. Desperate to "save" their child, they send her to a conversion camp, where she's introduced to Victoria "The Dictator" (Charlie Forde), Marcy "The Enforcer" (Cori Vore) and Lynn "The Manipulator" (Cami Strella). The terrible tyrants are tasked with fixing her. But Jenna's passion burns like a fiery star in the night sky, and the more time she spends at the camp, the more determined she becomes to not only escape, but to free the other girls held captive there.

Director Bree Mills is known for tackling very controversial subjects, and "Escape from Camp Conversion" addresses one of the most abominable realities facing the LGBTQ community today. This movie is a horror film through and through, and by the film's conclusion, audiences will know true terror. The first lesson Jenna witnesses after her abduction is group sex controlled under the iron fist of the teachers. The new girls are forced to kneel and watch as the teachers berate three other girls (Ameena Green, Demi Hawks, and Leana Lovings) during a forced threesome. It's meant to be degrading and shameful, but no amount of verbal abuse can stop the body's natural reaction to pleasure. Despite the best efforts of the tyrannical teachers, all three ladies get off in spectacular fashion as they rub their clits and tongues against one another. Jenna then meets the mysterious Nina (Sophia Locke). Under her watchful eye, Marcy and Lynn take on the task of shattering Jenna's resolve personally. This scene is more than just sex, it's a battle of wills. Jenna, defiant yet powerless, struggles to hold onto her sense of self while Marcy and Linn ravage her. And despite the contempt Jenna feels for her oppressors, she can't deny her body. Guttural growls of pleasure escape her lips as Marcy and Lynn smother her face with their pussies and fondle her clit with their fingers. But things take a turn when both teachers don their strap-ons intending to show Jenna the true pleasure that is cock.

Meanwhile, a new captive arrives on the scene. Her name is Lily (Lulu Chu), and her parents hired a therapist to help her when they found out she was gay. At first, Christie (Lexi Luna) seemed to truly want to help her. She was kind and understanding, leading to a very tender encounter in her office. When the older, more confident woman begins to touch Lily, validating every sinful and lustful thought she's ever had, the vulnerable young woman falls completely under the therapist's spell. And what a wonderful spell it is! Sensual, powerful, safe. Until it wasn't. Now united in their struggle, the captives bond over the circumstances that brought them to the camp and the horrors they've witnessed since being there. One girl recounts the trauma of penetrative therapy, where Marcy fucks them until they squirt in a glass and then are forced to drink it. Alex Coal is a liquid queen here, as the scene is basically an eternal squirt.

The underground rebellion suffers a crushing blow when Jenna discovers a heartbreaking truth, but just when all hope is lost, Nina emerges as a lifeline to freedom. A flashback reveals her tragic past, followed by my favorite scene in the movie. Scarlet Skies is a young Nina, and Lana Smalls is her lover. The two share a secret and passionate coupling while hiding from disapproving eyes, and it's the most beautiful moment in the film. They are young and free, basking in the glow of uninhibited sex and passion — and it's a welcome diversion from the film's horror landscape.

The climax is unexpected and reinforces the film's psychological horror theme. In the end, I commend Bree for putting this movie together because art often imitates life — and this is life for some people.
