Last Tango

Sweet Sinema
Last Tango
Nica Noelle’s take on the Marlon Brando classic “Last Tango in Paris” (a shocker in its day) succeeds thanks to porn star power: the potently erotic couple, Katsuni and Manuel Ferrara. The fact that both are French gives the movie a nice continental vibe.

Two strangers meet by chance, jump into bed and try to have a sex-only relationship with no strings. But emotions do intervene and that’s the end of the affair. Katsuni and Manuel have three sex scenes, the first a rough and lengthy powerfuck, the last one tender, kissy and fairly brief. In between comes a recreation of the famous butter-lubed anal sex scene that ends with an internal pop.

Both stars are sexually at the top of their game, and they’re convincing actors as well, especially Ferrara as a down and outer just released from prison. Annie Cruz plays his shrewish girlfriend and screams her head off when fucked. James Deen has some amusing moments as Katsuni’s boyfriend, a show biz hustler who’s trying to start a reality show about lesbian couples. Their sex scene is fairly standard but intense, thanks to Katsuni. And oh yes, there is a dancing scene, but it’s not a tango.
