How to Cross–promote Cams, Movies

How to Cross–promote Cams, Movies

Balancing adult movies and web-camming is still something I’m consistently working on. It definitely gets hard at times, but I remind myself of my personal goals. What is it that I want, and ultimately, what’s going to help me get there?

I started off working in adult movies and made a clear decision to focus on webcamming for a number of reasons. Obviously, the more time you spend on cam, the more exposure you get. I learned quickly that if you don’t put the time, and most importantly, the consistency in, you can’t expect to get the results you want when it comes to camming. If you want to play in the big league with the top girls, you have to put in the work.

You’re able to make new fans on cam, which is a different adult community that might have not ever heard of you before and bring them into your adult movie work.

Taking X amount of booking a month compared to camming every day, treating it as a full-time job, was a challenging change for me … having to reprogram my brain and work ethic. Consistency, consistency, consistency is so important when it comes to camming, and it’s what makes or breaks most girls.

So, in terms of balancing, I only work with my favorite companies, which makes it even more enjoyable having the freedom to be selective with who you work with. Not that I’ve never had that before, but it’s certainly on a different level. The great thing about both, which I preach every adult model should do, is cross promoting your work. You’re able to make new fans on cam, which is a different adult community that might have not ever heard of you before, and bring them into your adult movie work. Or vice versa, you can have fans from your adult movie work get to know you on a more personal level by interacting with you live on cam, getting to know the real you beyond tweets or Instagram posts.

You chat with someone every day and you really get to know them. You start developing strong relationships with fans that ultimately support both careers. One of the cool things about doing both has been getting on cam after being on set and letting fans in on all the juicy little details about your day and getting them really excited about the product/project you just shot.

The first thing you need to do to have a strong cam game is do your research. There are so many cam sites out there, so see which one works best for you, your personality and schedule. I waited such a long time to cam on a different platform because I wasn’t familiar with the token-based system which could be scary and confusing at first. But when I finally did, I couldn’t stop kicking myself in the head because it worked best for me.

There are also different sites that have had different types of clients … some being more hardcore, straight to the point, and others being more of a hangout community. Figure out which works best for you.

When I first started webcamming, I watched, talked, asked a lot of questions and asked for advice from other webcam models and camming fans. The most important thing I took away was being told to “be myself.” Ultimately, that’s what keeps people coming back, is you: your personality, interests and creativity. Figure out what makes you, you. What are you known for? Go for it and remember to have fun.

Social media plays a large role in elevating your cam game as well, by keeping your fans informed and excited about your shows. What type of show are you doing that day? Maybe you bought new lingerie and snapped about it on your private Snapchat that you sell on cam, and had your fans decide what you’re wearing that day. Keeping your fans in the loop keeps them excited about your shows. It makes all the difference. It’s free advertisement, because the more eyes you get in your room, the more potential fans you can gain.

Advertising your personal videos on your profile is also key, because it can bring in a lot of extra income and raise brand awareness about the type of content you shoot.

Hope you enjoyed reading this friends! Live long and prosper!
